What you will do
As a Director – Logistics Procurement , you will play a pivotal role in driving GEP’s procurement consulting services to the next level. You will apply strategic expertise in purchasing, supply chain management, business process outsourcing, and procurement technology to develop and execute procurement strategies that deliver measurable value. In this role, you will lead high-impact client engagements, build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships, and mentor teams to achieve excellence in logistics procurement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership & Business Growth Contribute to the development and execution of the global strategy for GEP’s procurement consultancy practice.Drive thought leadership and innovation in logistics procurement, ensuring best-in-class solutions for clients.Identify new business opportunities and support business development efforts to expand client relationships.Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, guiding procurement transformation initiatives.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management Own client relationships and ensure high satisfaction levels by delivering impactful solutions.Interface with clients to understand their logistics procurement challenges and develop tailored strategies.Ensure alignment of sourcing and procurement initiatives with client business goals and policies.Deliver compelling presentations and confidently communicate strategic recommendations to clients.
- Project & Team Leadership Lead multiple projects / programs concurrently, ensuring successful execution and measurable results.Guide project teams to ensure objectives such as cost savings, service level agreements (SLAs), and procurement transformation goals are met.Develop and coach team members, fostering a high-performance, client-centric culture.Contribute to team understanding of client culture, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement.
- Procurement & Sourcing Expertise Develop and implement sourcing strategies for logistics categories, including freight (road, air, ocean, rail), warehousing, last-mile delivery, and distribution.Lead RFQs, e-auctions, supplier negotiations, and contract management initiatives to drive cost optimization and operational efficiency.Utilize data-driven insights to develop fact-based recommendations and drive complex analyses.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high performance, continuous improvement, and innovation.
