What You Will Do
As a Contracts Lead you'll oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle management for our client, a leader in its industry. You'll lead and manage contract drafting, negotiation, redlining, approvals, and administration. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and attention to detail to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive efficiency in contract management processes.
What You’ll Do
- Draft/Review/redline/negotiate high complexity contracts (e.g. MSA, SOW, Amendments and Change Orders etc.) on behalf of the client independently or along with other stakeholders and secure favorable positions for the client.
- Work with internal and external clients to structure, prepare, negotiate and finalize commercial proposals, etc.
- Review and approve complex contractual documents, reviewed by Contracts Specialists for protection of Client’s contractual position, satisfaction of customer specifications, adherence to company corporate policies & applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in negotiation with suppliers and advise Client
- Point of contact for the client for operational issues and contract management associates for escalations
- Responsible for work allocation and deliverables of the team, coordinating daily activities, setting priorities.
- Track and monitor deliverables and report to stakeholders.
- Train and mentor Contract Management personnel
- Implement training programs.
- Identify and suggest areas of improvement in standard templates, metadata storage, checklists etc.
- Contribute to the growth of contract management excellence by innovation and continuous improvement in the processes/ techniques of Contract Management flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or legal qualification is a plus.
- 6-8 years experience in corporate law and procurement background (RQ)
- Microsoft office, especially word and excel and other software solutions and contract management tool (e.g. Ariba).
- Good understanding of commercial law; strong subject matter expertise; able to provide sound and practical legal advice on all corporate and contractual issues.
- Excellent research, analytical skills; able to exercise judgment and discretion to opine on compliance/ legal issues effectively.
- Able to mentor team members and be a trusted member of the legal/compliance team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven success in managing client, suppliers, internal stakeholders; anticipate client needs and build strong business relationships.
