What you will do
This role reports to the In-House Immigration Counsel, Global Immigration , within the Legal Department and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including HR Business Partners, Recruiting, People Operations, and Payroll. The Immigration Paralegal will serve as the primary internal contact for global work visa matters, supporting a seamless immigration experience for employees and business stakeholders.
Immigration Case Support :
Serve as the primary internal point of contact for global work visa matters, partnering with external vendors to provide visa assessments (., cost, requirements, timelines) for Talent Acquisition (TA) and HR Business Partners (HRBP).Support nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based visa cases, including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, PERM, I-140, and I-485 processes.
Employee and Stakeholder Support :
Respond to employee inquiries regarding immigration matters and provide information to HRBPs, TA, and hiring managers for international assignments and hires.
Immigration Compliance and Documentation :
Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to address right-to-work questions, ensure compliance with immigration regulations, and maintain up-to-date workflows and sponsorship policies.Monitor immigration status and expiration reports, initiating cases and managing compliance-related communications.
Case Management and Coordination :
Coordinate and review visa documentation between employees, HR, and external attorneys, ensuring accuracy and spotting potential issues.Maintain accurate immigration records and provide weekly status updates on active cases.
Policy Updates and Training :
Update internal SOPs and sponsorship policies to reflect regulatory changes, and educate business stakeholders through presentations and training sessions.
Record Keeping and Reporting :
Prepare and maintain immigration-related files and reports in compliance with company policies and regulations, while tracking activities to identify process improvements.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Clark, NJ headquarters, requiring three days in the office each week.
What you should bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with . immigration processes and policies, plus 3 years supporting immigration for at least three of the following countries : UK, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE, etc.
- Proven success managing large-scale immigration programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and ability to work effectively with remote teams.
- Adaptability to a fast-changing environment and skill in managing competing priorities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.
