Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, a multi-office, multi-state law firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated General Litigation, Product Liability Associate Attorney to join our growing team in our White Plains, New York office. The ideal candidate should have 3-8 years’ of experience in handling general litigation and product liability cases.

This position requires a high level of motivation, flexibility, initiative and ability manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end. The ideal candidate should have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong and professional communication skills, and be friendly and outgoing. While the candidate will work primarily in the firm’s White Plains location, he or she will also interact and work on matters across the firm’s footprint. Responsibilities include :

Ability to handle general litigation and product liability cases from inception to resolution, both independently and with supervision

File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action

Drafting of pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other case related materials

Experience with attending depositions, court appearances, motion practice and mediations

Trial preparation and attendance

Perform extensive research and provide sound legal advice to clients

Expert witness retention and collaboration

Negotiate settlements and handle alternative dispute resolutions

Maintain an excellent relationship with clients, including complying with all client guidelines

Collaborate with senior attorneys and support team members

Ensure all deadlines are met

Accurately record and maintain billable hours

Required Skills / Qualifications :

Admitted to practice in the State of New York (NJ, CT and / or PA admission is a plus)

Federal Court experience is a plus

Exceptional writing, research and analytical skills. The ideal candidate must take pride in delivering error free product

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

3-8 years' experience in general litigation and product liability

Salary is commensurate with experience and skill set. Position offers benefits, including health, life, short-term and long-term disability, as well as 401k, flexible work and paid time off.

For New York City Applicants : Salary range : $35.00 – $70.00 / hr.($72,800.00 - $145,600.00), plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The anticipated salary range is for candidates who will work in New York City. The salary offered to a successful candidate will depend upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, LLP, is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
