Gerber Kawasaki is one of the fastest-growing and most influential independent Wealth and Investment Management firms in the country. We are searching for a Tax and Accounting Manager to be the Internal expert responsible for managing tax reporting, compliance, audits, optimization, and tax planning functions. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients and management. This a unique opportunity for the right candidate to grow, joining our diverse, well-established, and growing company.
This role is 100% in the office 5 days / week, 8am-5pm; however please note that hours will change during tax season based on the needs and demands of the tax department.
Salary : $135K-$150K, DOE Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelors in Accounting, Masters preferred
- Active CPA certification
- 5-7 years relevant work experience with an accounting firm, 2 years of public accounting experience
- highly preferred
- 1-3 years of management experience
- Experience working w / C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, and HNW individuals
- Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
- Experience in multi-national compliance and reporting preferred
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, and web-based databases such as Smart Vault,
- Lacerate, QuickBooks
- Understanding of GAAP and ASC 740, preferred
- Experience in working collaboratively across different teams and departments
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining highest attention to detail
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency, commitment and reliability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
