What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Project Superintendent position at Gerelco Electrical Contractors?

The Project Superintendent is responsible for hourly and daily activities of the employees assigned to the project.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and complete project(s) in accordance with supplied blueprints, diagrams and/or instructions provided and to quality standards in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Organize and plan the job with the Project Manager and assist as required.
- Provide Project Manager with three weeks look ahead schedule.
- Ensures team cooperation with other trades and or the General Contractor on the site.
- Responsible to ensure that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are safeguarded in a manner that prevents their unauthorized use or removal from the project site.
- Ensures that materials and supplies on the project are stored in a neat and orderly fashion and that the job site is picked up before leaving each day.
- Provides instruction and guidance to reporting employees that enables them to work safely and efficiently.
- Able to operate all equipment on site or train and direct others to operate.
Required Education and Experience:
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment.
- Must maintain an OSHA 30 certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of 7 years trade experience.
- Must maintain a valid Florida CDL A/B Driver’s license.
- Must have the experience to perform all duties required of the positions under them.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Employee must be able to work overhead, climb ladders, operate hand and power tools. Some work may be at heights up to and exceeding 90 feet and may be in confined spaces. Work Environment
This job operates in various outdoor locations in any type of weather. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise is to be expected.
