What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/ Warehouse Associate position at Gerhard's Appliance?
Material Handler/ Warehouse Associate
- Loading, unloading, shipping and receiving of warehouse items
- Utilize warehouse scanner to capture material movement
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility
- Receives products from outside vendors into the system.
- Loads and unloads vendor and/or common carrier vehicles, and company trucks
- Properly tag/label received goods/repairing damaged cartons.
- Prepares customer shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, wrapping, loading, and securing products.
- Inventory cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
- Keep inventory and warehouse clean.
- Stage waste including all recyclable materials.
- Sweep floors and maintain a tidy work area.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Cross train and perform general warehouse duties as directed by the Manager
- Clamp truck experience preferred
