Overview
We are seeking a skilled Moldmaker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in mold fabrication and assembly. This role requires proficiency in various machining processes and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings. As a Moldmaker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality molds that meet precise specifications, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production.
Responsibilities
- Drive fabrication and assemble injection molds according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve mold-making processes and procedures.
- Safely operate various CNC mills, welding machines, lathes, grinders, and drills. Additional experience using EDM machinery is a plus.
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, polishing, and modifications on existing molds to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and team members.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify mold dimensions and ensure accuracy as well as quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold performance and production defects.
- Maintain detailed records of mold maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes and materials involved.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D data.
- Technical mathematical skills such as geometry, trigonometry, and print reading.
- Experience welding and polishing.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Injection Mold Maker or in a similar role.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mold making, machining, or a related field preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
