Job Summary
Gerharz Restaurant Equipment & Supplies provides all types of food service establishments in Central New York with restaurant equipment, consulting & design services, smallwares, tabletop and paper products, and Parts.
We currently have an opening for a Parts Specialist in our successful and growing Parts Department. Our team is looking to continue its success by adding the right self-motivated, smart, enthusiastic, and customer service oriented individual.

Responsibilities and Duties
Specific job duties include:
Inventory/ Accounting
- Create, Process, and Ship Sales Orders.
- Create, Process, and Receive Purchase Orders.
- Interact with other departments in a friendly, professional, and constructive manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Customer Service
- Answer phone calls in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
- Respond to emails and texts quickly, accurately, and appropriately.
- Listen to learn what the customer needs.
- Create clear and accurate quotes for customer in a timely manner
- Process customer returns.
- Read and interpret parts diagrams
Vendor Relations
- Negotiate part pricing with vendor.
- Process vendor returns and negotiate restocking charges.
- Find vendors for new, obsolete, or difficult to locate manufacturers.
Previous experience in a parts environment is helpful, as is knowledge of commercial restaurant equipment, but not required.

The work environment is a clean, professional office setting with excellent hours. We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 – 5:00 . We offer a competitive benefits package including medical, 401(k), and PTO (vacation, holiday, and sick days.) This is a full time position.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
