We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Employee to join our Shipping & Distribution team. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of outbound shipments. The successful candidate must have proficiency in basic math, be able to read and understand written instructions in English and be willing to cross-train in other departments including Inventory Control, and Maintenance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Verify accuracy of orders by performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (with training if necessary).
- Ensure shipments are labeled correctly and loaded for timely distribution.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing incoming inventory as needed.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and assist with inventory control as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including performing light maintenance duties.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations to verify order quantities and shipping details.
- Reading Proficiency in English: Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, shipping labels, and safety regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment.
- Cross-Training: Willingness to cross-train and perform duties in Inventory Control, Janitorial, and Maintenance functions as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented and able to follow specific processes to ensure order accuracy.
- Team Player: Able to work well independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior warehouse or distribution experience is preferred but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $35,500.00 per year
