Gerkin Windows & Doors, located in South Sioux City, Nebraska, is a manufacturer of high-performance vinyl and aluminum windows as well as storm doors. We are currently hiring for our 1st Shift Production team and are seeking qualified applicants who are reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a team setting.
In this role, employees will be responsible for assembling windows and storm doors using their hands, equipment, and power tools. Prior assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, though not required. Candidates must be able to stand for 8 or more hours per shift, lift up to 50 pounds, reach, bend, twist, and manipulate smaller parts using their hands and fingers. Basic English reading and writing skills are required, and the ability to read a tape measure is beneficial.
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. During our busy season (May through November), production hours may shift to Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm. The ability to work overtime is required.
This position offers a starting wage of $21.50 per hour and includes a competitive benefits package.
