What are the responsibilities and job description for the Woodland Shop Help position at Gerlinger Steel?
Gerlinger Steel & Supply is a multigenerational family business founded in 1929. We offer a relaxed, yet safety conscious workplace in our two facilities, Redding and Woodland, CA. We hope to be the company where you can make a career.
Our Shop is in operation Monday to Friday from 5:00 am to 1:00 am, and the typical week is scheduled for 40 hours.
- Attendance, Shift Punctuality
- Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and being able to convert fractions to decimals and decimals into fractions
- Ability to use a variety of measuring tools such as a tape measure and calipers
- Ability to operate weld machines, forklifts, and overhead lifting equipment
- High school, technical training or experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and basic facility maintenance
- Safety conscious attitude concerning all aspects of work: yourself, your equipment, and your surroundings
- Fluent in written and spoken English, bilingual preferred
All job offers will be contingent upon the candidate passing a physical, drug test, and background check.
