1. Job Purpose/Objective:
Starting at $17/ Hr
This position is responsible for delivering the highest quality of customer service and “ALOHA” to all guest and serving staff. The incumbent must be able to take orders, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests courteously and efficiently. The incumbent must ensure that supplies including inventory, replenishment of condiments, and utensils are adequately stocked.
2. Essential Job Functions:
Incumbent may perform any or all of the following:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Meet and greet customers as they arrive – supplying information as needed
- Clean bar area before prepping
- Check upper and lower bars for any discrepancies in the following places: sinks, jockey boxes, beer boxes, utensils, floors, trash receptacles, empty boxes, glasses, and etc.
- Set floor mats in bar
- Set bar tops for pouring mats, napkin straw dispensers, and garnish trays
- Replenish and restock liquor, beer, wines and other bar items up to par for the next day
- Prepare inventory of bar items/products on nightly basis
- Clean and mop bar at end of shift
- Attend all staff meetings including training and operational
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Always maintain positive guest relations.
- Deal with all guests and fellow Germaine’s team members with respect and honesty.
- Communicates with supervisor verbally and through written communication throughout the shift to ensure proper notification and follow through of assigned tasks.
- May be assigned other duties as needed by the Luau Manager on duty.
3. Essential Skills (Minimum qualifications individual must possess when entering position) – i.e. skillsets, education, certifications, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least minimum age to serve liquor
- Must have knowledge of brands of various spirits such as whiskeys, bourbons, scotches, cordials and mixes, etc; training in bar service and drinks
- Knowledge of liquor commission rules and regulations.
- Must be able to calculate simple math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable and have a pleasant manner
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in verbal or written form
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
- Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and efficiency; take initiative to complete tasks
- Adapt to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, adjust plans to meet changing needs
- Handle customer questions and complaints, communicate with customers, handle service problems politely and efficiently, always available for customers, follow procedure to solve customer problems, understand company products and services, maintain pleasant and professional image

4. Working Conditions/Job Environment
- Must be able to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.

- Some remote work may be necessary
