Overview:
German-Bliss Equipment, the oldest Kubota dealer in Illinois and a fourth-generation business established in 1940, is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for a new location in Bloomington, IL. This role is crucial for leading our location towards achieving defined sales and margin targets, ensuring profitable growth, and fostering a productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, sales, and management skills, with a deep understanding of the agricultural equipment industry and proven experience managing a full-service dealership.
Qualifications:
- Management experience (heavy equipment / Ag preferred) 5-10 years.
- Proven experience in sales, inventory control, and profit management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM and project management software.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and industry standards.
- Experience managing time-consuming projects
Responsibilities:
I. Location Profit Management (44% Impact)
1. Profit Plan Execution:
- Develop and execute a profit plan to achieve budgeted sales volumes, margins, and efficiencies.
- Monitor and adjust pricing and engage in key account selling as needed.
2. Growth Generation:
- Drive growth through parts and service sales.
3. Sales Goals:
- Set and monitor monthly and annual volume sales goals to meet company objectives.
4. Departmental Coverage:
- Ensure effective coverage and support for all departments.
- Effectively manage location with approximately 6-10 FTEs.
5. Marketing Collaboration:
- Work with other department managers and leadership team on location marketing plans for whole goods, parts, and services.
II. Sales Management (23% Impact)
1. Sales Process:
- Implement a successful sales process that ensures an excellent buying experience for customers and promotes processing efficiency.
2. Prospect Identification:
- Actively seek and obtain prospects to increase sales.
III. Inventory Management (17% Impact)
1. Inventory Turnover:
- Collaborate with Owner, Senior Management, and Marketing to achieve new and used inventory turnover targets.
2. ACV Accuracy:
- Ensure accurate and effective Actual Cash Value (ACV) assessments and adherence to the process.
3. Inventory Control
- Perform at least two wholegood cycle counts per 12-month period
