What are the responsibilities and job description for the Academic Test Proctor position at Germanna Community College?
Germanna Community College is seeking two Test Proctors to administer a large number of tests including written tests, performance exams, and online tests.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support by creating professional and courteous correspondences between test vendors, examinees, faculty, staff, and students
- Generates daily reports; research student records; enters research data in Excel; completes daily task reports
- Administers proctoring service for academic tests and provides proctoring for placement tests
- Provides excellent customer service and provides requested information or refers to the appropriate department
- Ensures all computers have appropriate software for each test
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Customer service experience in a high-volume environment with an ability to handle stressful situations

- Excellent computer skills; intermediate experience in Microsoft Office 365
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn applications quickly
- Experience working with a diverse student population
- Ability to work mornings, evenings and Saturdays
- Complete certifications within 30 days of hire date
- Experience working in a testing center
- Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment
- Knowledge of academic and placement testing
- Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
