Germanna Community College is currently seeking a Future Educators Academy Advisor. The incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive academic and cocurricular support and advising to scholars in the Future Educators Academy. This role involves working closely with students throughout their academic journeys, offering proactive support, and assisting with academic interventions as necessary. The Advisor will operate under the guidance and oversight of the Coordinator of the Future Educators.
- Provide direct academic and cocurricular support to students in the Future Educators Academy
- Work closely with students to identify and address their individual needs, offering timely and appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with faculty and other advisors to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions and report attendance back to high schools
- Participate in program planning and evaluation to continuously improve student support services
- Serve as the key liaison between Germanna and parents, as well as high school counselors.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
- Experience in academic advising or student support services in a higher education setting.
