Germanna Community College is a public, open access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. Germanna Community College is currently seeking a Supervisor of Academic Testing to coordinate the implementation and administration of exams given through the Testing Center.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises and schedules staff working in the testing center; evaluates wage employees; approves timesheets and assists with hiring.
- Works with Testing Services Manager to effectively implement new policies and procedures.
- Tracks service usage data; maintains a secure proctored environment for student testing; creates a shared spreadsheet and schedules proctoring requests; ensures that computers and printers are effectively maintained; provides PeopleSoft Student Information Systems (SIS) support for academic and placement testing—McCann VPT, Accuplacer ESL, HESI and TEAS.
- Proctors academic and placement tests.
- Assists with training testing center staff; conducts 1-1 observation training sessions with proctors each semester; conducts computer training sessions with proctors as needed.

- Customer service experience in a high-volume environment

- Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment
- Experience working in a testing center
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Pearson VUE certification
- Knowledge of academic and placement testing
- Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
