We have a walk-through of a facility in Abbeville, LA scheduled to tour the facility and gather information for proposal purposes. I would need someone knowledgeable about the industry to conduct said walkthrough, and service this account when the contract starts.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Carry out floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain appearance and safety.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as required, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Support residential painting efforts when necessary to enhance facility aesthetics.
- Respond promptly to custodial requests from staff or management to address immediate cleaning needs.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Skills in floor care techniques such as buffing are highly desirable.
- Experience with industrial cleaning methods will be beneficial.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures is required.
