YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

As the Golf Shop Attendant, you will engage all guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, process all payment transactions, provide excellent customer service delivering a world class experience. You will assist the Head Golf Professional in retail organization and retail sales, will provide outside assistance to ensure the course and practice facility are ready for use on a daily basis and perform general duties as assigned by Head Golf Professional, General Manager or Director of Golf.

What Your Day Will Look Like
- Process all point of sale transactions made through the Golf Pro Shop.
- Needs to provide exceptional service with focus on customer engagement. Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timelines is a must.
- Perform all opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain an elevated level of cleanliness and organization for all areas within the golf pro shop and storage areas.
- Inventory stock levels of guest, retail and office supplies to Head Golf Professional on a regular basis.
- Business telephone manners and techniques as described by Beloit Club.
- A basic understanding of the game of golf and related merchandise; golf clubs, balls, bags, gloves, etc. Knowledge of Beloit Club and amenities as well as Beloit Club Golf operation practices and procedures or willingness to learn of all said above.
- Ability to think, work and make decisions to solve member / guest concerns based on sound judgment.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
- Enforce golf course and facilities rules and regulations firmly, tactfully and impartially.
- Report and document all incidents of member or guest concerns and/or complaints to the Head Golf Professional.
Requirements
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
- Ability to work any of the 7 days in a week, regardless of it being a weekday, weekend, or holiday.
- Ability to work safely, communicate effectively, understand and carry out written and oral directions, and establish good working relationships with co-workers.
- Guest and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest and personal services. This includes guest’s needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfaction.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the membership.
- Basic Computer Skills - Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Oral Comprehension -The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Analytical/Critical Thinking - The ability to gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognize patterns and relationships in complex data; examine data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
- Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
- Interpersonal Skills- Willingness and ability to engage with a diverse and ever-changing clientele.
Education
- High school or equivalent (Required).
- Retail customer service: 1-2 years’ experience.
- DL (Required).
- General knowledge of kitchen, golf cart and driving range equipment.
- U.S. Work Authorization (required).
