Key Responsibilities
Network Design and Implementation:
- Plan, design, and implement network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Configure and optimize network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Installation and configuration of new network components such as switches, access points, firewalls, SD-WAN appliance and central IT management solutions in our centralized and decentralized network environment
- Responsible for the planning, operation and further development of the centralized and decentralized network infrastructure
- Administration of the dynamic routing (BGP) and VPN (IPSEC/SSL) environment
- Conduct regular network performance assessments to ensure efficiency and security.
- Troubleshoot network issues and resolve them promptly.
- Monitor network performance, security threats, and utilization.
- Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect data and systems.
- Manage firewall, VPN, and other network security measures.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Ensuring network operation through regular maintenance and updates of all systems and their documentation
- Document network configurations, processes, and policies.
- Prepare reports on network performance, security status, and upgrade recommendations.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all network hardware and software.
- Provide support for end users and resolve network-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams on systems integration and overall IT strategy.
- Assist in training staff on network use and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 3 years' experience OR 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
- Proficiency in network hardware and software.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
