SHIFT: 12-HR Rotation – Week 1 36hrs/Week 2 48hrs (Day and Night Shift Available)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

POSITION: Machine Technician and Maintenance
SHIFT: 12-HR Rotation – Week 1 36hrs/Week 2 48hrs (Day and Night Shift Available)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance through 5S, GMP and Kaizen events. Assists and supports production by providing mechanical maintenance and answering line calls in a prompt & efficient manner. Partners with operators and packers to secure resolution.
- Troubleshoots and locates source of problem by observing mechanical devices in operation while minimizing the impact to production output and client orders.
- Ability to successfully utilize and understand PLC, motors (3 phases), servo driver, VFD, encoders, and sensors in general, multimeter, as well as read power, voltage and current parameters. Performs proactive line inspections to identify and resolve potential problems.
- Performs job setups and changeovers on all forming machine, after forming handling and gauging hardware, vision systems, automatic packing and packaging equipment
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, schematics, blueprints, and equipment, generating equipment operations and maintenance, and installation and repair of electrical equipment within the facility.
- Tests, repairs, and maintains emergency and normal electrical distribution systems and equipment. Performs electrical changes, updates, modifications and installation of new equipment.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments. Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Assists with the collection of data related to trends and assists with the production of maintenance reports as needed.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Assist with outside electrical contractors and repair organizations
- Assures all assigned equipment is clean and all safety guarding is in place. Performs mechanical/electrical safety checks on equipment and systems.
- High school diploma/GED with a minimum of three years of relevant, machine maintenance/technician experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Preference given to those with related degrees or certifications.
- Lockout/Tagout certified or experience.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to reading and understanding mechanical and electrical diagrams and drawings required.
