The role is hands-on and performed at the packing line, involving the careful inspection, packaging, and preparation of products for shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate and efficient packing.
- Inspect glass vials and cartridges for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Sort and remove defective products based on established criteria.
- Communicate quality or process issues to supervisors and machine operators.
- Label trays and products correctly and place them into designated shipping containers or onto pallets.
- Shrink-wrap trays and modules as required for shipment.
- Complete necessary production and quality documentation with clear and legible writing.
- Assemble boxes, trays, and packaging materials as needed.
- Supply packing lines with necessary materials such as pallets, boxes, and trays.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of inspection and packaging equipment.
- Monitor inspection systems and report inefficiencies or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Support team members by providing relief coverage as needed.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety guidelines at all times.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, especially in pharmaceuticals or food-grade production, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of GMP standards and their application in a regulated environment.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed (may include bending, lifting up to 20 lbs., and standing for long periods)
