Entry-Level Installer / Driver Apprentice

Are you the type of person that enjoys working with a team, meeting new people, and delivering happiness to customers?  Gerrit’s Appliance is seeking customer focused individuals that take pride in their work and are interested in learning a trade in the appliance industry. No experience – No problem! As an Apprentice, we will teach you how to deliver and install appliances to our valued customers. If you have a basic understanding of hand/power tools or machinery, we can train you as our next Installer/Driver Apprentice. In this key role, you will be the face of Gerrit’s Appliance and part of our appliance delivery and installation team at our Wyoming location.

Installer / Driver Wages: Experienced - $19-$20/hour; Entry-Level - Up to $17/hour

As an Installer / Driver, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Work as a team sharing equal parts of the workload
• Safely deliver appliances and load/unload trucks
• Respect, protect and thoroughly clean up customer homes
• Remove old appliance(s)
• Move appliances into homes with superior care and unpackage appliances
• Hook up appliances to water lines, gas lines, venting material, and/ or electrical connections
• Maintain vehicle, supplies and tools, keeping clean, organized, and secure at all times

Gerrit’s looks for Installers / Drivers who have the following:

• High School Graduate and at least 18 years old
• Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Exceptional customer service skills and friendly personality
• Excellent safety record as well as the commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to move into tight spaces and up and down stairways 
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry 100 pounds
• Ability to exercise sound judgement skills and solve problems
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and enjoy working with people
• Chauffeur/CDL License – preferred
