JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing the daily execution of order fulfillment operations for the Gerson Institute, including but not limited to fulfillment, shipping, billing, purchase orders, customer and vendor correspondence, inventory maintenance, and other needs as assigned. Advancement opportunities within the position may be available based on the organization's budget performance.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be joining a small team that supports domestic and global distributions in addition to supporting the growth and expansion of company products and services. The focal responsibilities will include fulfilling orders; customer relations and vendor management; administering order questions and issues; inventory management; managing warehouse logistics; and maintaining educational materials as an essential service of the Gerson Institute’s mission. This person will serve as a key team member in ensuring all orders are fulfilled, shipped, and delivered in a timely manner to directly impact the growth and expansion of the Gerson Institute.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Physically able to lift objects up to 50 pounds, crouch and stand for at least 4 hours.
- High School Education.
- Must possess a valid driver's license within the State of Tennessee, and have reliable transportation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US.
- Familiarity with Shopify or other shipping systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point), operation of printers, fax, copier, etc.
- Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures preferred.
- Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies and equipment.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork, sort, check, count and verify products.
- Ability to manage warehouse logistics and improve operational efficiencies.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while managing various projects, vendors, and responsibilities.
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a team environment.
- Demonstrate a high level of organization and professionalism with strong relationship building skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the daily execution of fulfilling incoming orders and processing the packages for carrier shipments:
- Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance by picking and packaging items into the proper shipping packages.
- Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to maintain the quantities, destination and route are correctly addressed.
- Administer the email inbox to monitor, resolve, and control all issues relating to customer satisfaction, product orders and shipments.
- Tracking and locating lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments.
- Processing return requests.
- Any and all customer service issues relating to products and shipping/order requests.
- Offer additional resources from store, website and/or educational materials.
- Consistently and properly document all customer communications in Shopify.
- Place purchase orders for all material (products and shipping supplies) with various vendors in order to fulfill customer orders within the guaranteed time frame.
- Receives, verifies, and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slips with purchase orders to ensure accuracy of shipments received and organizes all products in inventory.
- Maintain strict quality control and organization of products and supplies.
- Maintain accurate purchase order tracking.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date product details including online descriptions, images, pricing, order turnaround, vendor information, etc.
- Manage regular inventory counts, report any discrepancies to supervisor and accounting department, play an integral role in resolving discrepancies.
- Correspond with multiple vendors, maintaining a positive rapport.
- Communicates with carriers to resolve delivery issues, customs issues, electronic destination discrepancies, or regulations within specific countries.
- Works directly with supervisor in maintaining and improving warehouse logistics and overall operational fulfillment efficiencies.
- Follows established department policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Maintain a clean, safe and efficient fulfillment center and warehouse.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
