Position Overview:
Gerstell Academy seeks a Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach for the 2025 Fall season. Gerstell will compete in the IAAM B-Conference in 2025. This position reports regularly to the Director of Athletics and is a paid stipend position. The volleyball season runs from August 15 through end of October with practices daily, typically 4:00-6:00pm.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience as a head varsity, or club level coach with strong written and oral communication skills. Have a background in building connections within the club and local volleyball community and have the ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes on and off the court.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead team practices, games, and conditioning programs
- Develop competitive game strategies and foster player development
- Collaborate with assistant coaches, athletic staff, and school administration
- Promote and build a positive, disciplined team culture
- Support academic success and character development in student-athletes
