Grow with Us This Spring as an Annual Plant Sales Associate!
Are you passionate about plants and gardening? Do you enjoy helping customers create their dream outdoor OR Indoor spaces? We’re looking for Plant Sales Associates to join our team this Spring! This position is ideal for someone who loves working with people, has a green thumb, and thrives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
This is a seasonal position, lasting through the Spring with an anticipated end date of June 1st—an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant, fast-paced team during a busy season!
We are seeking candidates that are able to commit to 3 days a week (4-6 hour shifts) and weekends.
What You’ll Do:
- Create a welcoming and easy-to-navigate shopping environment that inspires and helps customers find the plants and products they need.
- Assist customers in selecting plants and garden products, providing expert recommendations based on their needs and wants.
- Keep the store and garden center neat and organized while ensuring safety for both staff and customers.
- Process sales efficiently using our POS system, including cashiering, order entry, and tracking deliveries.
- Ensure accurate pricing and proper signage for all plant and garden products.
- Stay knowledgeable about our products to provide the best customer experience, continuously learning and educating customers about plant care and gardening tips.
- Work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and meet sales goals.
What You’ll Need:
- Excellent customer service skills with a cheerful attitude and strong communication abilities.
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in the plant or garden industry.
- Familiarity with POS systems and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- A passion for plants, with previous experience working with water gardens a plus.
- Ability to upsell and meet sales targets while ensuring customers have an exceptional experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, in an outdoor setting and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
