Job Overview:
As a Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the shipment process, ensuring orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and delivered on time. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and efficient shipping operation and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and labeling.
- Coordinate with carriers and shipping companies to arrange the most cost-effective and timely delivery options.
- Inspect products to ensure they are properly packaged and labeled for shipment.
- Prepare and maintain shipping reports, including tracking information and shipping invoices.
- Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Monitor shipment progress, handle any shipping issues or delays, and communicate updates to customers or internal teams.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure proper stock levels and efficient order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including international shipping requirements when applicable.
- Assist with the processing of returns and exchanges as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and tools (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL systems).
- Familiarity with shipping regulations, including hazardous materials, international shipping, and import/export procedures.
