What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOH Restaurant Support position at Gervasi Vineyard?
Gervasi Destinations is seeking a warm vibrant personality to provide exceptional customer service as our next FOH Restaurant Support
This is a hybrid role is an integral part of the team. The FOH Restaurant Support Manager Server / Bartender will consist of 2-3 shifts per week working in Leadership “shift lead role”. The other 2-3 shifts per week working in tip compensated role (Server or Bartender).
This is a Full Time Hourly Position with Benefits . $19-22 per hour based on experience. Tip Compensated Rate : $5.35 per hour tips
Schedule : Shifts will vary weekly based off business demands in all restaurant outlets. Typical 5-day work week. Two days off may not be back-to-back. Schedule based on business needs, must be flexible.
Responsibilities :
- Ability to Server or Bartender and be STAR Company training for those positions.
- Ability to support and lead a team during a shift; support scheduling and direct all service staff to optimize guest experience. Continuously evaluate teams’ performance and encourage improvement of the personnel within the diverse restaurant teams.
- Ability to assist with training and ongoing staff development programs within the department.
- Ability to work shifts events from start-finish in restaurant outlet(s) as business demands require.
- Ability to Supervise and assist with the setup / teardown of the restaurant spaces, placements of tables, chairs, linens, place settings, side stations, etc. Visually inspect spaces and equipment to ensure world class standards are met.
- Ability to effectively & fairly hold staff accountable, then follow through with appropriate documentation with Direct Manager.
- Ability to effectively use POS, understand basic comp / void procedures and support service staff.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness of facility (restocking of bathrooms, floor / table cleanliness, etc.).
- Ability to coordinate timing of food services with the Chef, Managers, Event Coordinators, and other teams as assigned.
- Ability to provide feedback regarding customer acceptance of restaurant & event services offerings to maintain world class services.
- Financial Accountability : Ability to process Daily Cash Bag sign off, bar tracking accountability, comprehensive final service bill review with servers to ensure daily POS accuracy (ex : confirm servers accurately charge for beverages that are self-serve, sodas, coffee, tea, etc.), ability to accurately complete all EOD cash out processes and complete daily tip share
