What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at GES?
Pay Range: $18/hr-$23/hr
OVERVIEW: The Laborer will be responsible for general shop tasks and other duties using machines and other equipment. This individual will maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processing of metal screen cloth to include:
- Measuring
- Shearing
- Hooking and packaging
- General knowledge of power tools
- Assist in cutting and spooling of conveyor belting
- Assist loading and unloading trucks
- Operation and safe driving of Forklifts
- Works safely and uses safe techniques
- Maintain clean and safe work areas in the warehouse
- Perform other duties as assigned by Parts Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Required to work in small teams or alone

- Must be able to think ahead and keep close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20 pounds
- Occasional to frequent walking or standing
- Frequent and continual movement as follows, often several of movements simultaneously (i.e., handle while crouching, carry while kneeling):
- Kneel (bend legs at knee, come to rest on knees)
- Crouch/Squat (bend body down and forward, bending legs and spine)

- Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment
