Position Summary:
GESA LLC is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President of Industrial Services to lead and expand our existing $10 million global business unit focused on servicing power plant and oil & gas customers. This critical role will be responsible for the strategic direction, financial performance, and client relationship management of our industrial services division, specializing in heavy-duty and steam turbines, as well as valves. While the operational execution of projects will be handled by a separate operations division (cost center), the VP will retain ultimate responsibility for project performance, client satisfaction, and overall project success.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive growth and profitability within the industrial services division.
* Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, expanding GESA LLC's service offerings and geographic reach.
* Provide strategic guidance on technology advancements and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
* Project Ownership and Client Management:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
* Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with clients and the operations division.
* Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to client expectations and contractual obligations.
* Address and resolve complex client issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
* Act as final authority for all project delivery issues.
Business Development & Sales:
* Drive revenue growth through effective sales and marketing strategies.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
* Develop and negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and profitability.
* Expand the customer base by actively pursing new clients.
Financial Management:
* Develop and manage the division's budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
* Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
Team Leadership & Development:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, client relationship managers, and support staff.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Ensure that team members have the necessary training and resources to excel in their roles.
Global Customer Support:
* Ensure proper support is given to global customers, and be willing to travel internationally as needed.
* Manage global service contracts.
* Resolve complex customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
Liaison with Operations Division:
* Act as the final authority on project delivery while working with the operational division to ensure proper execution.
* Ensure proper communication between the client, and the operations division.
* Monitor the operations division performance in relation to the projects owned by the Industrial Services division.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in the power generation industry, with a focus on heavy-duty and steam turbines, and valves.
* Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a service-oriented business unit with a strong focus on client relationships.
* Strong understanding of power plant operations, maintenance, and repair.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
* Ability to travel internationally as required.
* Experience with international business practices, and logistics.
* Experience with Oracle Netsuite ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Multilingual and multicultural abilities.
* Experience working with international standards such as ISO.
