Overview
We’re looking for a surface grinder operator to join our small abrasive stone manufacturing team in Old Saybrook, CT. You are the right person for this role if you can work in a small team environment and pay attention to detail. Experience in precision manufacturing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate surface grinder for the manufacturing of abrasive stones
- Align, secure, and adjust diamond blades
- Ability to verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of abrasive stones.
- Operate additional equipment in other department areas as needed.
- Perform other work-related duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Five years’ working experience in similar work environment.
- Ability to use common tools.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
