Role Summary
Responsible for assembling finished products using tools and machines, fabricates various types of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Study and interpret assembly instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, assemble tools and materials.
- Interpret measurements, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications.
- Resolve assembly and production issues.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
- Ensure parts are fitted and screwed properly.
- Build prototypes and test products.
Knowledge and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least 3 – 5 years previous work experience.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to work with your hands, whether directly manipulating components or using controls on an assembly machine.
- Must have basic math skills due to the technological needs.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work with computers, machines and motion-control robots.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects during the fabrication/assembly process.
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, often doing repetitive motions.

- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
- Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
