What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tech Press I position at Gestamp?
Tech Press I - Mason, MI
Position will begin as Process Tech I until such time as candidate meets the following:
- Certified to operate the Press
- Certified to operate the Forklift
- Certified to operate the Crane
- Position will remain a Level 1 until 1-3 above are met
- Ensure the equipment functions efficiently and that all procedures work correctly
- Load materials into specific cells and or machines
- Run the machines and observe them during production, detect problems and stop processes and make minor repairs to industrial mechanics for fixes
- Obtain current hi-lo certification and operate in a safe manner
- Load coil on coil cart, once approved to operate a crane
- Assist with troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to Team handbook, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies and procedures
- Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near-misses, injuries or accidents occurs immediately
- High school diploma/GED required with technical schooling preferred.
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Computer experience
- Basic understanding of SAP preferred.
