Key Responsibilities
- Instruct students across 2-6 credits, employing engaging lectures and interactive learning strategies.
- Develop course materials including lectures, projects, assignments, and assessments that align with the course syllabus.
- Provide timely grading of student submissions and constructive feedback to promote academic achievement.
- Maintain scheduled office hours; adjunct faculty are required to be available for at least one additional hour weekly, either in-person or virtually, to assist students.
- Attend program and departmental meetings as required.
- Exhibit effective teaching practices within college-level courses, delivering clear and comprehensive instruction.
- Utilize technology to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
- Attend all assigned class periods in accordance with the academic calendar.
- Submit mid-semester and final grades punctually to the Registrar's Office and ensure all course records are transferred to the department chair post-course completion.
- Create a nurturing environment that supports student success.
- A Master's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required for teaching undergraduate courses.
- Previous teaching experience is highly preferred.
- A demonstrated commitment to cultural competency in collaborating with diverse student and employee populations.

- Non-Terminal Degree & 0-6 credits experience: $3,000
- Terminal Degree & 0-6 credits experience: $3,200
