We are seeking a committed and experienced Part-Time Reading and Math Tutor to provide personalized, one-on-one educational support to elementary and middle school students. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in reading and/or math, catering to the individual needs of each student.
- Adhere to established guidelines, policies, and procedures throughout all tutoring interactions.
- Engage with students in a 1:1 tutor-to-student format, adjusting instruction based on learning styles and progress.
- Maintain flexible tutoring hours to accommodate students and their families, with the possibility of supporting multiple students.
- Ensure sessions are not scheduled on major holidays or Sundays.
- Valid background/fingerprinting screening clearance.
- Completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours in a teacher education or related discipline.
- Availability for at least one hour of tutoring per day during designated hours.
- Preferred experience in teaching reading and/or math to students requiring additional support.
- Proficient in utilizing Zoom for remote instruction and familiar with word processing tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students and their parents regarding academic progress.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish or Haitian Creole) are encouraged to apply.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, along with reliable access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance.
- At least 60 credit hours completed in a teacher education or related program.
- Previous experience teaching reading and/or math to students in need of extra support is preferred.
