Your efforts will significantly contribute to ensuring that elderly individuals and their families have access to the necessary services and support for a safe and comfortable living environment within their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Lodge Outreach program in Northern California, guiding and training volunteers who actively engage with community members.
- Lead speaking engagements at local Lodges and Masonic events, enhancing awareness of available relief programs, including the Masonic Assistance line and Outreach Services.
- Develop and implement training materials to equip volunteers and Masons with a thorough understanding of both Masonic relief programs and external assistance options.
- Collaborate closely with local Lodges to address community needs and support outreach efforts.
- Manage the social work internship program by partnering with local Schools of Social Work, providing mentorship to MSW interns to cultivate their professional skills.
- Evaluate program success and identify opportunities for growth, working with the Outreach & Education Manager.
- Create and manage diverse audiovisual and social media materials to support training initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for volunteer and staff inquiries in the absence of management, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
- Proven experience as a dynamic speaker and trainer, with a background in managing or mentoring staff within social service contexts being desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster collaborative relationships among volunteers, team members, and community partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint, with experience using Salesforce or similar software advantageous.
- Creative and self-motivated, demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and an understanding of the challenges faced by older adults and their families.
- Experience in developing high-quality training programs, including utilizing social media platforms.
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) with a minimum of two years of post-graduate experience is required.
- At least two years of experience in case management, community outreach, program development, or training, preferably in geriatric care or group facilitation.
- A valid California driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the state as needed.
