Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction focused on critical areas such as pre-academic skills, sensory integration, self-help abilities, and social development.
  • Design and execute customized educational plans that cater to the specific needs of each child.
  • Create and manage thorough Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload, ensuring they remain current and relevant.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, and specialized professionals to promote the holistic development and educational achievements of each child.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methodologies as necessary for optimal outcomes.
  • Engage in team discussions to evaluate student advancement, exchange insights, and establish educational objectives.
  • Cultivate a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters emotional, social, and educational growth for all children.

Required Skills

  • MILD/MOD Certification is essential.
  • Proven experience working with young children, especially in the realm of early childhood special education (birth to 3 years).
  • Strong comprehension of developmental delays and early childhood intervention strategies.
  • Proficient in writing and implementing IEPs, with a focus on evaluating and tracking student progress.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and a multidisciplinary team of specialists.

Qualifications

  • MILD/MOD Certification is mandatory.
  • Experience in early childhood special education, particularly with children aged birth to 3 years.

Compensation And Benefits

  • This is a W2 contracted position for the 2024-2025 academic year, with the possibility of contract renewal.
  • Flexible scheduling arrangements available (including part-time and hybrid remote options).
  • Competitive and negotiable hourly rate, reflective of experience, with a range of \(35 - \)45/hour.
