Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate and promote a diverse array of deployment and mobilization support services.
- Conduct pre-deployment, mid-deployment, return and reunion, and post-deployment briefings and workshops for service members and their families.
- Educate school personnel about the distinct needs of military children to create a nurturing academic environment.
- Lead training sessions and workshops for Command Family Readiness Groups.
- Provide Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) training adhering to standardized Navy curricula.
- Deliver Individual Augmentee (IA) family case management aligned with CNIC guidelines.
- Offer direct support to families, ensuring responsiveness to their needs and the evolving operational tempo.
- Organize and facilitate Ombudsman Basic Training (OBT) and Advanced Ombudsman Training courses through certified trainers.
- Develop and implement relocation assistance programs, including workshops and individual support for eligible military families.
- Provide education in critical life skills, encompassing stress management, anger management, suicide prevention, and more.
- Plan, promote, and conduct Transition Assistance Program (TAP) workshops, collaborating with agencies like the Department of Labor.
- Create and execute family employment readiness workshops covering job search strategies and resume writing.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with local Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and school districts.
- Excellent public speaking and facilitation abilities to engage diverse audiences.
- Relevant experience within military families or social service programs supporting military communities is highly desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication, advocacy, and data management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of state, federal, and local resources pertinent to service members and their families.
- Empathy and sensitivity towards individuals from varied backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, and the capability to work independently.
- A bachelor's degree in adult education, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a related field is preferred, with a consideration for equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in training development and public speaking.
