Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in promoting the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical growth of infants and toddlers.
- Create a nurturing, organized, and engaging learning environment for young children.
- Support effective classroom management strategies suitable for various age groups.
- Provide teachers with breaks as scheduled by administration.
- Observe and report any signs of illness, discomfort, or unusual behavior in children to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in implementing curriculum and enriching learning experiences.
- Ensure a language-rich environment that promotes social and emotional development.
- Maintain a safe and healthy indoor and outdoor environment through daily safety checks and adherence to health policies.
- Foster positive relationships with families, encouraging their involvement in their children’s education.
- Participate in meal services and fulfill additional classroom needs as requested.
- Compassionate and self-motivated, demonstrating enthusiasm for supporting child development.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, enhancing communication with diverse families.
- Basic computer proficiency to assist in documentation and communication.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to enroll in and complete a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) program.
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle or state ID for transportation.
- Preferred: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Infant and Toddler; Associate degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field; minimum of two years of recent experience in childcare or preschool settings.
