Key Responsibilities

• Act as the lead instructor for Mathematics courses, delivering high-quality and engaging educational experiences.
• Organize and oversee courses within the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure effective course delivery.
• Conduct live, interactive lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students from various educational backgrounds.
• Create course materials that align with relevant educational standards, ensuring effectiveness and clarity.
• Differentiate instruction to address the unique learning needs of every student, fostering an inclusive environment.
• Cultivate a safe and positive virtual classroom atmosphere, employing conflict resolution techniques and promoting collaboration.
• Maintain thorough records, including attendance, grade books, lesson plans, and progress reports.
• Establish strong professional rapport with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators to ensure effective communication.
• Uphold confidentiality of student information in compliance with privacy policies.
• Engage in professional development opportunities, staff meetings, and training sessions as directed.
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as required to support the educational mission.
  
  

Required Skills

• Extensive knowledge of Mathematics content and effective pedagogical practices.
• Proficiency in technology tools including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to analyze student performance data to refine teaching methodologies and enhance outcomes.
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.
• A current Illinois teaching license (PEL) for the appropriate content areas and grade levels.
• Previous experience in online teaching is advantageous, though not mandatory.

Compensation And Benefits

Compensation for this role is linked to student enrollment, ranging from $50-150 per student. This position qualifies for credit in the Illinois Teacher Retirement System.
