Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear, precise, and high-quality interpretation for students during academic lessons, social interactions, and extracurricular activities in a virtual setting.
- Support IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, classroom instructions, and parent-teacher conferences, facilitating effective communication among all parties involved.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and professionals to ensure that each student’s individual needs are met, thereby enhancing the educational experience.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all interpreting services provided, ensuring adherence to educational standards and regulations.
- A valid and active Alabama Sign Language Interpreter license and certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional interpreting experience, preferably with virtual interpreting proficiency.
- Familiarity with various online interpreting platforms and tools to ensure seamless communication.
