Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, one-on-one mentoring to assigned students.
- Facilitate students’ navigation through course materials to help them reach their educational objectives.
- Assess student performance through assignments, practical exercises, quizzes, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Utilize the learning management system to access course details, assignments, and maintain communication with students.
- Engage in live virtual classroom sessions to assist faculty and enrich the learning experience.
- Apply a variety of teaching techniques to captivate students and illustrate the practical applications of course concepts.
- Maintain consistent availability for student consultations through scheduled office hours or appointments via virtual platforms, email, or phone.
- Attend orientation sessions to become well-acquainted with policies, procedures, and the learning management system.
- Respond to student inquiries within a 48-hour window, ensuring a supportive and effective learning atmosphere.
- Proficient knowledge of the medical coding and billing sector.
- Demonstrated capability in effectively teaching and mentoring adult learners.
- Dedication to delivering an exceptional learning experience for students.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organizational skills with a strong capacity to provide prompt responses to student inquiries.
- Familiarity with technology and virtual teaching tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive connections with students and colleagues.
- A current and valid certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
- Previous experience in teaching or corporate training with adult learners is highly advantageous.
- Experience in online teaching or hybrid teaching formats is an added benefit.
- 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in production coding or auditing.
