Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Training and Development Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. This pivotal role will focus on fostering employee growth by designing, implementing, and leading comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and effectiveness of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess Training Needs: Collaborate with managers, instructors, and customer representatives to identify the training and development requirements of the team through continuous communication, surveys, and focus groups.
  • Design & Deliver Training: Develop, organize, and present tailored programs for onboarding, orientation, and skill enhancement that align with employees' specific needs.
  • Create Customized Training Programs: Formulate training solutions aimed at improving or preserving job-specific skills, empowering employees to achieve success.
  • Develop Training Materials: Create or curate engaging manuals, guides, and course content that effectively support our training initiatives.
  • Facilitate Engaging Learning Experiences: Utilize diverse methods such as group discussions, lectures, simulations, and multimedia to inspire learners and enhance their experience.
  • Track and Evaluate Progress: Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, attendance, assessments, and requirements for retraining. Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and evaluations.
  • Stay Updated: Continuously monitor trends and best practices in training and development to introduce innovative ideas.
  • Manage Training Budget: Prepare and oversee the training budget, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenditures.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Proficient in crafting engaging written content for diverse audiences.
  • Creative Training Content Development: Experienced in producing visually appealing training materials, videos, and marketing content.
  • Initiative & Independence: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable utilizing various multimedia training platforms to enhance the learning experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Skilled in evaluating and researching training options to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Highly adept in using Microsoft Office and related software.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to pass a favorable background investigation (Department of Defense clearance)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a contact center customer service environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with TRICARE
