Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to meticulously plan flight operations tailored to specific requirements, prioritizing safety and precision.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks to uphold stringent safety standards.
- Execute remote piloting by adhering to established flight plans or adapting them to meet the evolving demands of the mission.
- Deliver comprehensive training programs for novice UAV pilots, focusing on operational protocols and safety regulations to ensure their proficiency and compliance.
- Provide support for flight operations outside the continental United States (OCONUS) for extended durations, potentially up to four months.
- Facilitate flight demonstrations for clients at remote locations, effectively showcasing UAV capabilities in real-world scenarios.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges with equipment, ensuring mission readiness.
- Maintain full compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and other applicable industry standards.
- Proficient in flight operations planning and execution.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols.
- Expertise in remote piloting techniques.
- Skilled in training delivery and instructional methodologies.
- Technical troubleshooting expertise.
- Comprehensive understanding of FAA compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Unmanned Systems or a related discipline, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience as a Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Prior experience with Vigilant Spirit and Quattro FMS is mandatory.
- Current DoD Secret level security clearance required, with the capability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret level clearance.
- Must be able to secure an FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, both CONUS and OCONUS, as needed.
