Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead educator and primary instructor for Mathematics courses across various grade levels.
- Conduct live, interactive instructional sessions through web conferencing, ensuring the content is engaging and effectively tailored to student needs.
- Efficiently set up and manage courses within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring all educational materials are well-organized and accessible.
- Develop and align course content to meet current educational standards, guaranteeing that lessons are both challenging and accessible for all learners.
- Differentiate instructional methods to cater to diverse learning styles and levels, providing the necessary support to foster student success.
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and positive virtual classroom environment through effective management techniques and collaboration.
- Maintain precise and current records, including grade books, attendance logs, progress reports, and lesson plans.
- Establish and uphold strong, constructive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school administration to ensure student progress.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols regarding all student information, in accordance with privacy laws and school policies.
- Actively engage in professional development opportunities and collaborative training sessions to enhance teaching methodologies and stay abreast of best practices in online education.
- Fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned by the administration to support the overall effectiveness of the educational program.
- Profound knowledge and proficiency in Mathematics.
- Capability to analyze student data to inform instructional strategies and enhance student outcomes.
- Proficient in utilizing technology, including Google Docs, MS Office Suite, and Zoom.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of students and colleagues in a virtual environment.
- Ability to successfully pass state and federal background checks.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline.
- A valid Illinois teaching license in pertinent content areas and grade levels (PEL).
- Prior experience in online teaching is advantageous but not mandatory.
