Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging online lessons tailored to the unique learning requirements of visually impaired students.
- Create, implement, and periodically revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to align with each student’s aspirations and academic progress.
- Continuously monitor and document student performance to assess educational development.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, families, and support staff to cultivate a comprehensive and encouraging learning environment.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in leveraging technology for effective remote teaching and collaboration.
- Capability to develop and execute customized educational plans.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor conducive to teaching.
- Master's Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students or a related discipline.
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Maryland.
- Proven experience working with school-aged children.
