Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Vulnerability Management Solution (VMS) for both unclassified and classified networks.
- Support the implementation and operation of Tenable products within the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), including SecurityCenter (SC) and Nessus scanners.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, system administrators, and IT professionals to ensure security compliance and adherence to best practices.
- Configure, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Tenable components across diverse environments.
- Assist in the development of compliance reports, managing scan schedules, and optimizing security audits.
- Maintain security configurations, which include custom security policies, compliance audits, and vulnerability scanning.
- Provide technical support for risk assessments, security evaluations, and continuous monitoring activities.
- Lead and mentor a small team of security compliance professionals.
- Coordinate system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies.
- Document system configurations, scan results, and security policies for effective tracking and auditing.
- Ensure the successful execution of cybersecurity compliance initiatives.
- 1 to 4 years of experience with ACAS, Tenable.sc (SecurityCenter), or Nessus products.
- Familiarity with Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems in enterprise settings.
- Hands-on experience with virtualized environments, such as VMware vSphere and ESXi.
- Proficiency in configuring, running, and analyzing Tenable Nessus scans.
- Strong understanding of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, routers, VLANs, and IP routing.
- Experience managing compliance reporting for DoD, DISA CMRS, and cybersecurity audits.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize security risks.
- Capability to write scripts in Bash, Perl, PowerShell, Python, or Nessus Attack Scripting Language (NASL) is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in system administration and cybersecurity.
- Proven knowledge of security compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
