Key Responsibilities
- Sustain the security and compliance configurations, inventory, and best practices for the Vulnerability Management Solution (VMS) within the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) framework using Tenable products.
- Cooperate with fellow security experts to guarantee the effective operation of the ACAS program across diverse network environments.
- Create and uphold customized security compliance reports and asset management systems.
- Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Tenable components, including Nessus scanners and Tenable SecurityCenter.
- Aid in fulfilling compliance requirements while minimizing cybersecurity risk exposure.
- Conduct thorough system assessments and offer insights for optimizing scanning schedules and compliance reporting.
- Support the installation and maintenance of configuration files, security policies, and performance audits.
- Oversee mapping scan zones, subnet management, and utilize asset management tools like Forescout and McAfee Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS).
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-7 IT professionals in cybersecurity operations.
- Design and refine reporting dashboards tailored for various stakeholders, including leadership and cybersecurity staff.
- Implement changes according to established security policies and best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for ACAS system components to ensure compliance with network security standards.
- Assist with timely network security updates and compliance tasks, ensuring prompt implementation of patches and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot scheduling issues to achieve full coverage of intended scanning targets.
- Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of security initiatives.
- Proven experience with ACAS and/or Tenable SecurityCenter/Nessus products.
- Proficiency in Linux-based (RHEL) or Windows system administration within mid-to-large enterprise settings.
- Familiarity with virtualized environments such as VMware vSphere and ESXi.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Passion for continuous learning in IT security and infrastructure technologies.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently while aligning tasks with security and business objectives.
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Perl, PowerShell, or Python is advantageous.
- Understanding of disaster recovery principles and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a detail-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and cybersecurity best practices.
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in ACAS and/or Tenable products.
- A strong foundation in IT security and system administration.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
