Job Overview

The Senior Director of Accounts and Partnerships will be instrumental in managing and cultivating relationships with crucial clients in the life sciences sector. You will spearhead account management strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction while driving growth opportunities. Your expertise will facilitate the delivery of quantifiable business value through effective communication and support. This position reports to the VP of Life Sciences and involves close collaboration with the Director of Life Sciences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategies to engage clients in alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee a portfolio of key accounts, emphasizing long-term satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within client organizations.
  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with decision-makers to align on objectives and future possibilities.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to explore new partnerships and respond to RFPs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed client expectations throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Manage post-sales processes, ensuring timely onboarding and the achievement of success milestones.
  • Address escalations and navigate complex challenges while preserving strong relationships.
  • Provide regular account updates and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to evaluate client needs and track KPIs.
  • Contribute to the planning of customer-facing events, conferences, and feasibility studies.
  • Utilize client success stories to enhance marketing initiatives and content development.
  • Generate detailed reports that showcase customer performance and ROI.
  • Analyze outcomes to pinpoint areas for additional value creation.
  • Collaborate on metrics to support the company’s growth strategy and elevate account management processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in account management, customer success, or sales, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Background in life sciences, CRO, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and expand key client relationships, with a successful history of driving revenue.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in team mentoring.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, engaging effectively with C-suite executives.
  • Proficient in case study development, ROI analysis, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and contribute to both tactical and strategic initiatives.
