Additionally, you may take on the responsibilities of an alternate Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and sustain IT network systems and equipment.
- Deliver system administration and cybersecurity support in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Configure and oversee information systems to align with security policies and standards.
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for enterprise architectures, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, NIST 800-53, and other security standards.
- Create and uphold essential documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), and Security Controls Traceability Matrices (SCTMs).
- Identify and manage data spills, ensuring proper containment and reporting to security management.
- Provide technical oversight and perform self-assessments to verify compliance with security requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) for security inspections, testing, and system reviews.
- Stay informed on commercial security patches and cybersecurity directives to protect systems and data.
- Assist with cybersecurity testing for client-based systems under project supervision.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT system administration or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration and configuration.
- Experience in network systems administration, Active Directory, and GPO management.
- Knowledge in configuring switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and other networking devices.
- Experience with IT security engineering in support of system development and architecture.
- Familiarity with eMASS for DoD security authorization and continuous monitoring.
- Willingness to travel to local regional sites for system support (less than 10% of the time).
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
- Preferred: CISSP certification or Associate level certification.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Understanding of ESXi virtualization and VMware.
- Familiarity with vulnerability detection tools such as Nessus, Wireshark, and Nmap.
